More conservative customers may well prefer to purchase something with a warranty, and a box, etc. But I agree too. Price is certainly important. If it's the same 21mm EBL, it will miss out on the M lenses that are the most fun. The pricing will be interesting - with the Bessa-R selling for $450-650 body in the U.S., any higher price is going to strongly suggest a used CLE.
