All films, newer or older will reflect the skills of the photographer, processor and combinations and variations in the workflow. What works for YOU is most important...not what I say with 40+ years of doing it or what anyone else does in their work. All this stuff is only a pathway to achieve a communication event with an audience. Try films/developers till you find one you're comfortable with and then shoot a lot of it and understand the combination and the process.
