Well...I feel that newer *T-grain*(20 years old?) films are not all some,
Tina, Ted, et. al. believe they are. They are, IMHO, more sensitive to
variations in time/temperature, exposure than older Tri-X, HP5+. I feel
that the slight grain that appears in old films is not a distraction.

All films, newer or older will reflect the skills of the photographer,
processor and combinations and variations in the workflow.

What works for YOU is most important...not what I say with 40+ years of
doing it or what anyone else does in their work. All this stuff is only a
pathway to achieve a communication event with an audience.

Try films/developers till you find one you're comfortable with and then
shoot a lot of it and understand the combination and the process. You will
then be able to pontificate and appreciate your achievements.

Happy snaps,
