As we have discussed, they have to take production time away from popular profitable items that are in short supply. If ELCAN is still producing Leica lenses, I am sure custom specifications for those lenses would be possible. Are they still producing any lenses for Leica? I have, though this discussion, come to realise that all the screw-ball Leitz items out there that I come across seem to have come from Joseph and his family!
