I just found that out last night. I left the shutter released but the
camera was on and the batteries drained. Good thing I keep about 20 spare
batteries with me. 

As for the .72 finder, all three of my M6s have the .72 finder. I think
its more important to have a consistant view then consistant shutter speed
dials. (1 classic and 2 ttls)

PS: I am I the only one who loves the 0.72x finder? It seems that way
sometimes!
