Many of us have always made our darkroom sinks. 1/2" or 5/8" plywood,
Elmers glue, brass or stainless screws, and several layers of Marine Epoxy.
Delta 1 has plastic drain assemblies to avoid metal drain corrosion.
Although, I put metal drains in my sink and they have never corroded.
They've been in there for 20 years. There are numerous darkroom
construction books (Amazon) that tell how to construct a sink. It is as
easy as gluing and screwing it together, installing the drains, and
painting it with several coats (sanded in between) of marine epoxy. Build a
frame/stand from 2x4's, set it on the frame and screw the whole thing to
the wall. Install plumbing, and you are ready.

A good Leedal 8' sink is around $2000. Go to http://www.calumetphoto.com/
and search for "sink". Delta One sinks are cheaper, but none that long.
