Dear Gold,
    The .85 rangefinder unit costs about $450.00 So, the Essex Camera
estimate (mentioned earlier) of  $700.00 seems about right.
    However, your original rangefinder unit has value also. I would look for
a shop who would give you at least a partial  trade-in on your .72 unit.
    Or, if you can find a new M6 and ask politely, maybe, just maybe Leica
will swap rangefinders for the cost difference and labor.
