Frank,
  Leica USA will end rebates Jan. 31, 2001 on all cameras and lenses.
Rebates will remain on full sized binoculars only.
  On another note, we have been notified of the decision by Solms to cease
manufacture of the  troubled and labor intensive 35-70,2,8-R lens.  Those
who have them should count their blessings.
