Optical quality is very high, and you can get them for around $500 used. 39mm filter size, too. Tom > I got the 135 for exactly the same reason you mention - I'm just not carrying my Nikon any more, so I wanted a lens to replace the 180 I used to use. The 135/3.4 is an amazing lens, and I find it quite usable on both the .72 and .85 bodies. I certainly use it much less than my other lenses, but it does the job. I love the 75, and the 135 provides a nice extra bit of reach over it.
