I recommend this bag without reservation. Seth Levine who makes these bags and who can be reached at pepe3@bellatlantic.net also makes a classic leather camera strap, 1/2 inch, black, sturdy leather that is of the paint and lacquer preparation like in the old days. Simple rings at the ends and nickle slider and keeper. It is as close to the originalstraps of the 40s, 50s, and 60s that can be found. Needless to say, I've ordered one of these as well. For those who are interested Seth told me that: "I used a bag like this in the 70s when I was in art school. Almost impossible to find in decent shape these days, so I redesigned it using the best materials and New England hand crafting ( They're made in a small shop near me in Boston). If you shoot Leicas in a fast photojournalist style, you will appreciate the inner pocket that suspends the camera on its side in a ready to grab position. I like it tons better than the well made but bloated Billingham bags. Those things are begging to be ripped off on the street and are basically too bulky and slow. I really don't want padding in my bag when I am shooting. This bag will accept Domke foam inserts, should you want to use one. I will sometimes travel ( car or plane) with an insert and then remove it when I am actually going out to shoot ." It really is a totally cool looking bag ; practical, chic, simplicity.
