This was about 1991 and Magnum was being paid $400 a day to cover the story. NG became concerned after several weeks that Peress had not finished the story and decided to pull out when Peress said he still hadn't covered Bolivia. Up until then Peress had shot 1,600 rolls of film at a cost of $40,000 for film alone! Such luxury. Gerry Gerry Walden (UK) Tel: (0)23 8046 3076 Fax: (0)23 8034 8542
