Subject: [Leica] sending messages to the LUG

If you are trying to send a message to the LUG, you must send it in
plain text. The Leica Users list does not accept "rich text" mail,
which is also called "MIME" or "styled text".

As far as I know, every email program in the world except AOL 6 is
capable of sending plain-text mail. Some make it harder than others. If
you use AOL 6, you cannot send to the LUG.

Sometimes when I have a lot of energy I go through the bounced message
pile and send people a notification that their message has not been
delivered because it was sent in multimedia. Tonight there are 8
messages in the pile that people sent to Leica-Users but that were not
delivered because they were not plain-text messages. It's late and my
head hurts and I don't have the energy to notify all eight of you, so
I'm sending this generic message.
