Subject: RE: [Leica] Outfit Opinion

Having just gone through the outfit process I worked on the "outfit"
selection from the lens stand point.

My favorite lens for medium format is 180f2.8 next is 110f2. So, I selected
the 90/2 APO as one of my lenses. Next, I needed a wide/normal lens. That
was 35mmf2. Based on the above lens selection the camera was the M6 .85
TTL.

If I wish to go wider, I can always pick up the .58 M6.

My skepticism about a 90/2 as a general-purpose lens
comes down to focal length and small framelines in the
.72 M6. Since focusing a 90/2 wide open
is nearly as tough as a 75/1.4 wide open,
I'll take the extra f-stop of
the 75 Summilux, together with what seem like
more reasonable framelines and a more entertaining
focal length, to my way of thinking. (I put as many
qualifiers in that last sentence as I think it can
take.)
