I had the 75/1.4 also, and I had the same feelings about it as you mention
above.  I liked the 80/1.4 R better than the 75/1.4-M.  BTW I also love the
90/2.0 apo/asph and find it much easier to use than the 75.  The 75 was the
stiffest Leica lens I have owned.
