Subject: [Leica] A modest New Year's proposal...

To LUGgers the world 'round, Happiest of New Year's. The best is yet to
come.

A modest proposal to LUGgers posting in 2001...

it would make the use of the digest easier and more focused if in discussing
lens use to note at the outset or in the subject line whether the lens being
discussed is an M lens or an R lens. In reading of a poster's experience
using lenses of various lengths or Leica nomenclatures, one often has to
read quite a while before discovering if the information is relevant to his
own use because so many share the same lengths/names/apertures.

Initially referring to to a 50mm Summicron R, or R50 f1.4, for example,
instantly "focuses" the reader on the type of equipment being discussed.

Just a thought, but perhaps of merit, or at least utility!

Enjoy the light.
