Ted,

I worked as a "formal" wedding photographer at a portrait studio a few years
back. Using a Leica would be so much fun as I had to endure two blads, one
with a 70mm back, and 1 120 back of 400 for my "during the ceremony" shots.
We ended up using a tripod for almost anything.

Funny part was, the boss got all bent out of shape when I tried a few shots
that were casual and photojournalistic. Oh boy, he got his undies in a
bundle. The clients bought those shots, but the boss still hated them and
later he fired me. So much for that. As I am back in newspapers for some
time now, there is a lot of emotional baggage from that job that I think I
will carry to my grave.

I think what really tripped his trigger is that I won the prestigious Kodak
Gallery award the same year he fired me. I think he was so pissed that I
won that award, one that took him ten years to win. Oh and by the way, it
was for a black and white 16X20 from a Kodak Tri-X negative shot with a
180mm f2.8 on a N***n.

This summer I am shooting a wedding and you bet your boots, its 35mm all the
way. Leica for the most part of course.

gck
