Of course, I have used one.  I forced myself to use one for six months
before refitting the intended and original spool.  

My comments were not based on my experience alone.  Speak to the camera
dealers of the era, to hear THEIR complaints about the kit and why very,
very few of these kits were ever sold.  Leica also admitted this, and
dropped the kit from their catalog as soon as the original production was
exhausted.

Check with most of the larger used Leica dealers in the US -- almost all of
them have these Never-Loard Kits available, new-in-box.  Yet, it is a rare
find to come across one which has actually been USED.  The word went out
rapidly in the Leica community that the orignial system was preferable, and
so Leica owners just voted with their pocketbooks and avoided the bloody
things.
