[of Supra 800]

Don't think so. Somewhere recently, after I'd been grooving on the
Supra 800 thing for awhile, I stumbled across an article by the one
and only Erwin (PHOTO Techniques? Leica Fotographie?) on 800-speed
films. He kind of glossed over the films he didn't end up loving, but
came out a fan of Supra 800, and something newish from Agfa I seem to
recall... I hate to risk oversimplifying or paraphrasing incorrectly,
though. Anyhow, I think he allowed as how the Fuji approach has been
to use the fourth layer to try to compensate for wack color-shifts,
and Kodak's been trying to just get the three layers REALLY RIGHT.

Anyway, as in so many domains, it's best to go by how something works
rather than how it's implemented. I wouldn't go shopping for a
3-driver speaker; I'd shop for a speaker which sounds good. I don't
give a rat's great waddling backside whether a lens has aspherical
surfaces; I want the picture to look good. The details are the
realm of the implementors.
