Just some thoughts or questions on HCB's use of Leica…

I am under the impression that HCB's main camera became the M3 with it's close
to 1:1 finder. That he could never learn to love the later cameras with their de
magnified viewfinders which optimized the wide angle lenses which he rarely used.
A 50 on an M3 with it's 1:1 finder was they way he saw but also come kind of
reflex upside down right angle deal perhaps for shoot mud puddles from around corners!!!:)

I always saw my friends going out with their Nikons and wide angle lenes trying
to reel in an HCB.
A little easier with a normal lens and even a Rangefinder camera like the tools
of his choice.
