Well, the truth of this is VERY much up in the air right now.  Academics of
all stripes and persuasions are spilling much ink on this topic.  But I
believe the majority view at this moment is that Heisenberg DID
deliberately mislead the German A-Bomb research.  See the PROJECT EPSILON:
