A color neg still contains all of the color, just in negative rather than positive form. Plus the orange mask. To print color neg as B&W in a wet darkroom, you need a panchromatic paper such as Kodak Panalure. It is B&W but must be handled in complete darkness. I never liked the results with Panalure but they at least were prints. Jim
