And while we're on the silly subject of Leica in movies - a Leica P&S -
zoom - plays an important role in the hands of Tommy Lee Jones, Samuel L.
Jackson's legal defender, in Terms of Engagement - which isn't a bad movie
by the way....

As to Marshall...if anyone cares, that tri-x at 800 is developed in AcuFine
for 5.75 minutes at 68 degrees....at least that's according to his
webmistress, who says she asked the lab....no, he doesn't do his own
darkroom work, hasn't for years....

If you have the movie Woodstock (the 25th anniversary edition on DVD is good
for this) you can spot legendary rock photographer Jim Marshall in several
scenes with 4 or 5 black M4s draped around his neck and shoulders. Also:
visit Marshall's site at marshallphoto.com. Go to the technical section.
There you will see 3 of Marshall's well-brassed black M4s and testimony from
Marshall about his favorite camera. There is also a picture of Marshall at
Woodstock with 5 M4s.
Oh, yeah - the site contains dozens of wonderful images done by Marshall
over the last 30 years, most of them done with TriX shot at 800. A great
site.
Cheers!
