George, I have the latest, collapsing hood style Summicron 50 and I stuck the older style focussing lever on it. The focussing 'tab" has two small plastic pins on the inside curve, so I drilled a couple of holes in the barrel, slightly oversized and took some emery cloth and "roughed" up the barrel surface between the holes to give the 2-part epoxy used something to grip.
