This will give you the opportunity to see if the camera is to your liking and meets your photographic needs. Some stores that rent equipment will deduct part or full rental fee towards the purchase price of new equipment. It's better than investing a lot of money in a camera that you find doesn't really suit you. Just because someone else says a particular camera is great doesn't make it great for you.
