I've done a lot of tripod work in the city (Pittsburgh) taking pictures of
buildings and stuff. The key is to set up and take pictures of stuff for a
while. And then people start to ignore you and you can take pictures of
anything you want.

I took half a roll of people crossing the street in various odd patterns one
morning. No one thinks they are in the picture because you don't have the
camera up in their face.
