I agree that it is harder to sell a Contax G camera (more so the G1)
compared to a Leica M. In a private sale, a G2 in LN condition will get up
to about 80% of the new price. A dealer will take it in for half of new
price. He marks up to 80% but will let go for anything from 60% upwards.
The G-lenses hold their value better, and one with good cosmesis and glass
is quite easy to sell. So getting a G1+ 35 or 28 lens becomes a very good
P&S camera (with a CZ lens) for a decent price.
