Erwin have you tried this film with an enlarger using a Koehler system point
light source. To clarify ,in the Koehler method of illumination you focus a
magnified image of the light source on the on the lower focal plane of the
condenser by means of a lamp condenser. The condenser throws this image into
infinity but is picked up by the enlarging lens so that another image of the
light source is formed in the rear focal plane of the enlarging lens. This
is explained in detail in some of the old Leica Manuals. (1951 p397) The old
Durst 606 seems to use this principle when used with a point source. I know
that Brett Weston used a large Durst and this system for photographing rocks
in Hawaii. There will be an great increase in contrast which may be helpful
with this new film. Please keep us informed about your work. Bill
