I have a Lens Hood for a 35mm f2 summicron,  which is marked 12524.  I have
long since gotten the correct lens hood for my mid sixties summicron, the
slotted type.

My question to you experts, what version of 35 summicron does the lens hood
12524 really belong to.  I bought that type when I couldn't find the round
slotted type some twenty years ago.  At the time I was not as aware of Leica
information.  Still learning.

What got my interest in this is Timothy Nelson's<timothy.nelson@yale.edu>
question regarding len hood types.  I would be willing to part with this
user condition, but not cracked lens hood.
