BTW, that should have been 288M bytes for color.

100 slide film is somewhere between 4000DPI and 8000DPI...ro 4000 x 6000 - 
24M for 8 bit B&W, and 72M for 8 bit/color color...up to what I said 
above...96M for 8 bit B&W, up to 288M for 8 bit/color color.
