I think there are several really desirable reasons to own this piece of darkroom wizardry.... 1) Darkroom temp Stability. There is a built in heater. 2) Small floor space. Instead of 3 8x10 trays, this takes up about the area of 1. 3) Reactions to chemicals. If you have an alergic reaction to darkroom chemicals, then the small amount of chemical that leaks out into the air is limited compared to the tray approach. 4) You get setup in about 1/3 the timeand use 1/3 the chemistry.
