Subject: [Leica] Focomat V35 questions
From: ZaaX@aol.com

I have found a used V35 (includes the 40 mm f2.8 Focotar) and am considering
purchasing it but have a few questions. The guy wants $2000 but I think that
I can get him down to $1500.
On the other hand if you know of any dealers selling the B&W version please
let me know. Seems to me that a while back that someone stated on the LUG
that this model was common to find used. If this is true where else can I get
one?

1 It only includes the color module. How well will this work if I am only
doing B&W?

2 Is the Hove book "Leica darkroom Practice" worth buying?

3 What should be included with it other than the unit itself and a negative
holder?

4 Is a full frame negative holder available?

5 Anyone out there know where I can buy a Focotimer or will any timer work
with it?
How about a Focometer or any other accessories?

6 Is a voltage stabilizer needed?

7 Are there any drawbacks to this unit other than it will only do 35mm?

Any info on this will be greatly appreciated.
BTW I am just starting to get the equipment together needed to build my first
lab.

Thanks
Zack Schindler
