"...... is numbered 3,2xx,xxx which indicates it is a better performer for the serious shooter rather than the collector. # above the 3mil# indicate the latest coatings on the lens." Does this "latest coating" result in a noticable difference in picture quality? What year of manufacture does this serial number (3,2xx,xxx) represent? Are all, or most of the lenses in stores today bearing this serial number? Thanks, Jack
