The new version of Delta 400 that was announced at Photokina is the third
iteration of the film. The first version was on the market for a couple of
years, and wasn't all that popular. It was improved and re-launched as Delta
400 Professional, and seemed to have more exposure latitude than the
original version. I wouldn't mind them tinkering with a film, if they would
only tell you what they are doing. HP5+ (my standard film) has, by some
accounts, undergone so many changes in the decade it's been on the market
that it ought to be renamed HP6.
