Hi Rick,
Looks like you've found it all right. I went through a bunch of  leica r books
this afternoon but couldn't find any numbers, nor did I find the micro switch
and connecting cord.

I use the shoulder brace & grip with the 280 2.8 and it's just the cats meow, as
you use both hands and arms to hold the lens and camera, the right index finger
on the micro switch, just give a twitch and the motor/shutter goes. You follow
focus by moving your left thumb up an down on the knurled portion of the 280
focus ring.

And it's a piece of cake doing the above with the 1.4 X in the lens making it a
400 f 4.0 or the 2X extender as a 560 f5.6. The best part is when you use both
those extenders and you have a great 800 mm f8.0 hand held shooting piece as
sharp as cut glass! :-)
