Dear LUGGERS
Walked my Minilux zoom over to Schmidt today to get a repair "E-51" done
(that's what comes up in the LED when you push the shutter - and they have
a price list for fixing the errors as listed in the finder - very efficient
- - an E51 is HK$1,150 (US$147) and chatted with my friend in the display
room. He told me that Leica is entering into an agreement with Matsushita
to provide Leica lenses on Panasonic video cameras (like Zeiss does with
Sony video cameras) and he "thought" that the new smaller Leica R would be
with Minolta cooperation as was done with the R3 and the CL.
Fast turn around on the Minilux - it will be ready in a week.
Cheers,
Howard.
