I don't know why they are shy about it because Leica, unlike other large camera companies that shall remain unnamed, honor the warranty here in the US. The bottom line is usually a 3 year US warranty for the higher price or a one year warranty on the import for the lower price. Nope, I wasn't (just making a joke out of the price difference). I'm genuinely unsure on what the precise, exact difference in meaning (in this context) of the labelling 'new' and 'unused'. Doesn't seem to make any sense to me. M. - -- Martin Howard | "I am Pentium of Borg. Division is Visiting Scholar, CSEL, OSU | futile.
