My sample had very good resolution, but it was lacking in contrast. I sold the lens to a Hong Kong dealer recently ( in Exc+ condition for about USD 640 equiv. ) I bought the R70-180 instead, and is much happier with its performance ( but unhappy with its weight !! ) Tony - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mark Rabiner" <mark@rabiner.cncoffice.com> To: "leica-users" <leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us> Sent: Monday, September 25, 2000 12:40 AM Subject: [Leica] Angenieux > http://www.smu.edu/~rmonagha/third/cult.html#angenieux > From the above very cool site on cult lens companies. > "Angenieux is a French third party lens manufacturer that ranks with Schneider > and Zeiss as one of the world's top lens makers. > > Angenieux lenses are unfamiliar to most 35mm SLR users because they are very > expensive and come in only a few mounts, chiefly Leica.
