I was told by a rep that they are great lenes "if" you get a good one. They
did not have (again I'm told) the tightest QC. so find a good one-KEEP it. I
do remember seeing comparisons done (artical in Leica Fotographie back in
the 80's) and the zoom really showed up the compition. It could have been a
very carefully selected lens too.
