daniel,

you can indeed use the normal b+w filters on your 24 without vignetting,
but you may or may not be able to get the hood on over them. various
luggers have had varying success with the b+w filter/leica 24 m lens hood
combo. and regarding b+w slim line filters, does b+w make any, other than a
slim multi-coated uv filter?

not to reiterate the obvious, since this issue does come up about once
every two weeks or so, but my solution was to go with the heliopan slim
filters - as opposed to b+w, heliopan makes *all* of their filters
available in a slim design, which i can use on the 24 and which don't keep
the hood from fitting properly.

they cost no more than the b+w filters, and i can get them at samy's.
