Hi Jonathan,

The real thing is, there isn't any concern about the things you mention,
the girl has a mother who is a very talented professional photographer
who will steer her away from the stupid equipment thing we all went
through at sometime in our photo lives.

In her portfolio she has demonstrated "the eye to see" and that's the
bottom line! All the M4 will do is put her more in control while working
with a fine tool. In most of our cases we winged it along on our own
and in that manner it's quite easy to fall into the "equipment must be
the best" trap.

Tina works hard to earn money to buy the best equipment for her needs
and I don't have any doubt that is rubbing off on her daughter, so I
don't consider the equipment issue at all. There's a very strong hand
at the helm of this photographic household and the value of what
equipment works and what doesn't will be finely made clear to this young novice.
