Was he?  I recall having heard he designed the F4 (which I've always
found quite appealing to the eye;  I just never bought one because
Nikons' rings go backwards), and wasn't he responsible for two of the
most sublime car designs of our age, the VW Scirocco and the Ferrari
308?
