Official US petrol consumption figures for August have just been published.
Demand was at an all time  high which is one of the main factors for recent
and current petrol price increases which in turn have caused severe social
disruption in France and elsewhere the last few days.  I hold MRW and MH
responsible for the increase in gas consumption with all the related
effects. -- Chris
