It's a good lens for the money but not outstanding. I've used one quite a
bit. Usually no more than $250-$400 on ebay. Negatives...40mm filter, no
focusing tab, $75.00 for screwmount adaptor. The six element Summicron
German or Canadian (1969-1974) $650-$850 has better color and contrast, at a
higher price. Also I like the Summaron 35 2.8 better at $500-$650. One
interesting alternative is the Canon 35 2.8. A great lens with a focusing
tab., I find it sharper and more Leica like than the 35 f2 Canon and usually
around $ 200. IIf you don't need the extra stop try one. I use one on my
IIIG all the time.
