I can hand hold at lower speeds because I am able to brace the camera
confortably against my upper eye socket/forehead bone (any anatomists
here?), reducing camera movement and possibly vibration.  I feel more at
ease about using my 50 at, say, 1/30 sec with my SLR than with my M6.
