For me the only reason to shoot R is the lenses. They have a consistent look
to my final edit when I am using Ms as well. I would like to have Leica R
lenses that worked with Canon's AF system on Canon's bodies but in the
meantime the R8 is the best for me.

I have been using a couple of R8s in a super hot and humid location
(swimming centre where I am photographing the Chinese Olympic diving team):
I was sweating so much I saw sweat droplets on the focussing screen that had
seeped through the eyepiece. They kept working throughout so that is
reassuring after my earlier bad experiences with these cameras.

Bests

Adrian
