Try APX 400 in Xtol 1:1 and you will see grain!! The odd thing is at 1:3 the grain is gone. Normally sulfite developers give more grain at higher dilution... but not Xtol. There is a reason but I have forgotten it... I think it has to do with the sulfite (as usual) having a dual or triple role. - -- Johnny Deadman http://www.pinkheadedbug.com
