[Leica] i found a leica in a taxi

..... so, after day 3 of the RNC was over, i went to the marriot hotel
where a bunch of the delegates are staying and positioned myself in the
bar, all the better to get candids of the delegates getting rowdy. there
were lots of republican's boozing it up, wearing big cowboy hats. they
were so friendly it was pretty easy to get into a conversation
with them and they were all eager to be photographed.

they were also all very eager to buy drinks for the nice young
photographer from philadelphia. by the time the bar closed we were all
very merry (i was about six scotches and three guinesses merry, most of
my new cowboy friends were merrier). i jumped in a taxi and as i'm riding
home i see, on the seat next to me, a leica m6. holy moly! i pick it up, a
nice black one with some brassing and some lens on it (things are sort of
swishing around past me like an ocean at this time). i'm thinking "wow, i
found a (hic) leica in a (hic) taxi. (hic)." then i realize that it was
_my_ leica that had fallen out of my camera bag, which has upended and
there's film and batteries and flashes and garbage all over the floor of
the cab rolling around.
