Pascal,

The palm grip made for the old 280/2,8 (# 11 245 & 11 263)
will not go on any other Leica lenses.

That's why Leica is making a very nice palm grip that is
sold separately and is made for:
70-180/2,8, 180/2, 280/4 and the APO-MODUL (280/2,8,
400/2,8, 400/4 etc..).

But you cannot use it on the old 280/2,8 (# 11 245 & 11 263).

The code number is 14 282.

In my opinion, it's an accessory that you need to have with
those lenses.
