Subject: [Leica] Vertical shots with R8 & motor

Hi folks,

I'll be using my R8 with motor for both soccer team shots and portraits
tomorrow. I usually take the portraits with M6 and 90 APO, but tomorrow
I'll use the R8 and 100 APO. The season is winding down and I want to keep
the shots on the same roll(s).

So I've been practicing vertical holds with the R8, motor and 100 and I'm
quite happy with the way the battery bulge at the back of the motor forms a
nice corner that I can hold against my forehead. It makes for a really
steady hold. I'm pressing the vertical position shutter button with my
middle finger, as was mentioned way back by Lucien I think.

Once used to the ergonomics, this is quite a steady, handy setup.

But I will have to watch those blinks, what with that mirror going blackout
just when it counts!

Regards
