Bob:

Here's how to get open shadows, good highlights, good gradation and fine grain.

First- Expose your Tri-X at ASA 650 regardless of the light contrast.
Develop your film in Edwal FG7 diluted with a 10% sodium sulfate solution
for the time recommended on the bottle.

Slip those negs in your enlarger and be amazed at how easily and smoothly
they print.

That's all you need to do?

If its too dark for ASA650 you can easily push it two or three stops.
