Subject: [Leica] Focomat V35 bulb, saga end.

I finally recieved the bulb/s for my enlarger this morning and not from the
most helpful little shop I described the other day either.
I collected the bulbs he had ordered only to find that his distributor had
supplied him with Osram 'equivalents', the same as I'd seen in Jessops (a
large photo chain retailer). After calling his other two distributors all
of them conceded that none of them had any Philips 13139 bulbs and the
result was I had to find one myself.
I found a number for Philps UK in the Manchester phone book, good thinking
Philips, and called them. I was put through to lamps division then they had
to put me onto the OEM division (?!) whereby they told me they had two
distributors, both in London who dealt with these bulbs.
I called the first one yesterday, checked they had the right bulbs; really,
definitely Philips; gave them my credit card details and they have just
been delivered. 14.64 GBP each including delivery, still not too bad.
For any other UK LUG members, the supplier is called Valiant Electric,
they're obviously happy to deal directly with the public, and their address
is 20 Lettice St., Fulham, LONDON, SW6 4EH. Tel: 0207 7368115.
